What is Normatec Compression Like?
Not sure what to expect from your our Normatec compression session? Compression is a relaxing experience that may resemble a massage. Our trained staff will have you lay down on one of our comfortable lounge chairs and put our NormaTec compression boots on your legs after you have completed a brief waiver.
Our compression boots are soft and flexible, covering your foot all the way up to your knee. You lay back and relax during your session as the boots progressively fill with pressured air and then drain out. As a result, your extremities will feel light, regulated pressure. You can also put the compression sleeves on your arms.
You have complete control over our compression session. You can select your preferred level of pressure as well as the amount of time you want to spend enjoying compression.
How It Works
Our compression therapy systems come with a control unit as well as attachments that can be worn on the legs, arms, or hips. With our NormaTec pulse massage pattern, they use compressed air to massage your limbs, move fluid, and expedite recovery.
You will first go through a pre-inflate cycle, during which the connected attachments will be molded to your unique body shape. After that, the treatment will begin by compressing your feet, hands, or upper quad (depending on which attachment you are using).
Each segment of the attachment will compress in a pulsating way and then release, similar to kneading and stroking during a massage. As the compression pattern progresses up your leg, this will be repeated for each section of the attachment.
